A gale force wind into the graveyard end ensured a game of two halves in the first round of the LMFM div1 league at piltown in Saturday 1st February.

The Colmcilles started strongest and despite the efforts of a hugely talented Duleek-Bellewstown squad the Cilles boys work rate never let up throughout.

Playing into the gale Colmcilles led at halftime.

Duleek started the second period re-energised and provided a stern test, but the Cilles boys weren’t to be denied.

The attitude, work-rate and selfless support play key factors in how this group operate. The score line however perhaps more than a little unjust to a solid Duleek-Bellewstown side who will still have serious questions to ask of Summerhill and Navan OMahonys.

Next up Round 2 -Saturday 15th away to Summerhill.
