Colmcilles 3:4 to Senechalstown 0:13

A game of 2 halves in very windy conditions this morning in Piltown.

Storm Jorge been the 3rd storm to hit us in as many weeks was not going to stop these girls.

Colmcilles lost the toss but had the breeze behind their backs in the 1st half, this did not prove to be as favourable as initially thought with Cilles struggling to judge the gusting breeze. They scored 3:3 in the 1st half to Senechalstown’s  3 points and knew they would have a battle on their hands to contain the Senechalstown attack in the  2nd half.

It was a real backs to the wall effort from Cilles in the 2nd half with the game eventually finishing in a draw after a last minute equaliser from Cilles.

The girls will feel disappointed in their overall performance but they managed to get a draw to maintain the undefeated run so far of both Adult Ladies teams.

Onwards and Upwards from here with plenty of competition amongst the players on both teams to build on the positive start to the 2020 season.

Thanks to supporters and fellow squad mates for coming out to support on a fresh Spring morning
